Any student from age 14.5 to 17 can take the Teen Driver's Education class. NC State Law requires that students under 18 complete 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel driving instruction before applying for their NC Learner's Permit.
The best way to secure your spot is to use our Online Registration link. Pay online via credit/debit card and your spot will be secured! You can also call us at 336-280-6095 to register and to make other payment arrangements such as cash or check.
Our prices are as follows: 30 hour classroom = $150, 6 hour driving sessions = $450.
Driving sessions are scheduled after classroom is complete, based on availability of our instructors and each individual student.
We typically have 2 student drivers in the vehicle with the instructor. Driving is scheduled in (6) two-hour sessions, with each student driving for 1 hour each session, and then swapping out.
So, each student should plan to schedule (6) two-hour sessions. The frequency of these sessions depends on instructor and student availability. NC limits students to 2 hours of driving per day.

Any student who is at least 16 years old and has held their Level 1 Learner's Permit for at least 9 months is eligible for the road test. The road test is required before moving to the Level 2 License.

The Teen Road Test is $100.
We can take credit/debit card payments via phone at 336-280-6095. We can also make other payment arrangements such as cash or check at time of appointment.

It is important to bring ALL required paperwork to ensure a smooth process!
You will need:
- Signed Contract (available on our home page or will be emailed to you)
- Driver's Learner's Permit
- Parent or Guardian to sign paperwork (If another person is accompanying the driver, then a letter from a parent/guardian is required granting permission for the accompanying person to sign paperwork)
- Supervising Driver (if different than Parent/Guardian or appointed accompanying person)
You will still need to visit a DMV location to complete the final paperwork and photo for the Level 2 License. Your visit should be streamlined since the need for a DMV Examiner to administer the road test will no longer be required. The final visit to the DMV will just be to take your ID photo and turn in required DMV paperwork for the Level 2 License.
